Posting Web Pages on the Internet
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is the simplest and most secure way to exchange files over the Internet.
Example HTTP address: http://www.sonic.com

Here is a list of nine free sites that I have checked out myself. These sites offer free Web space and FTP capabilities.

Putting it all together.
- Step 1. Create a folder in your web design folder and label it "Web". This is where you will store all of your images, and pages.
- Step 2. Design your first page in notepad. This page will become the main index page where you will link all of your other pages to. Name this page index.html in your "Web" folder.
- Step 3. Create your other 3 pages. Remember that the names of your pages cannot contain spaces!!!!! Do not use images/ in your <IMG SRC=" "> tag. All images used in your pages should not have spaces in thier names.
- Step 4. Log into your FTP folder and rename the index, page back to home.html.
- Step 5. Upload all the contents of your "Final" folder by holding Ctrl+A then copy and paste into FTP folder.
- Step 6. View your site on the internet. If you recieve an error message, check your code. image tags, pictures names for spaces, links, and anything else you can think of!!!
